Mountain Hares-Coignafearn
High in the hills of Coignafearn, mountain hares are perfectly adapted to the wild Highland landscape. During winter, their coats turn almost completely white, providing remarkable camouflage against the snow. Watching these hardy animals shelter from the wind, bound across the hillside or quietly rest among the heather is a wonderful reminder of the resilience of Scotland’s mountain wildlife.
